Here are some signs and symptoms that you experience during labor and delivery and that will help you understand the difference: What are the Signs of Labor? Signs of labor vary in each woman. Some women may not experience any signs of labor. Some of the common signs include: Contractions – Stronger and frequent contractions can be a sign of labor. Labor contractions can pain your back and abdomen. Some women may experience false labor contractions or Braxton Hicks contractions in earlier stages. Lightening – Lightening occurs if your baby descends into your pelvis. You may feel to urinate more often. Lightening occur a few weeks before birth.
