Exercise
Swimming is one of the safest ways to exercise during pregnancy as the water supports your joints whilst also providing resistance work for all the muscles, strengthening your back and abdominal muscles ready for carrying your baby around!
-
Relaxation
Classes take place in the soothing, warm comforts of pools and combine exercise with relaxation activities – the perfect way to unwind and enjoy a little ‘me’ time. Exercise and relaxation release your body’s natural happy hormones, endorphins, which suppress pain and help you (and baby) feel calm – not only helpful in later pregnancy, but also really important during and after labour.

Expertise
Our teachers must pass antenatal swimming training that is accredited by the Royal College of Midwives Trust, STA Aquacise training and our own extensive Aquanatal training. This means that you’re in the safest possible hands as you work out and relax.
Rhianon Jones, new mum to Jessica
“I really enjoyed my Puddle Ducks North East Aquanatal classes. It was a chance to relax in the water, take the weight of my feet and exercise at the same time. I really looked forward to my Sunday night classes. I can’t wait to get back in the water again now Jessica has arrived. I would definitely do them again next time around and would really recommend them to my pregnant friends.”
