There are five types of practice for Yoga / Yog / Yoga Asanas: Asans in the standing position.Asans in the sitting position.Asans done while lying on the stomach.Asans done while lying on the back.Asans practised for meditation and concentration. Yoga Asanas in Standing Position There are many asans done in the standing position and prominently among them few asans as noted below are commonly practised by the persons according to their age, health and body power. Surya Namaskar, Tadasan, Garudasan, Ardhchandrasan, Ashwathasan, Dhruwasan, Vrikshasan, Padhastasan. Yoga Asans in Sitting Position There are so many asanas practised in the sitting posture. Some of the Asans prominently practised commonly by the persons according to their age and physical power are noted below.
